My neighbor's buddy Ty gave me a cable that connected my Treo with the radio which is cool because it is also an mp3 player.
I referenced the template off of the rivet hole for the skin.
I used the unibit and drilled to 3/4", the primer smells bad when being cut.
I am planning on the conduit.
Here are the ribs ready for riveting.
It took about an hour to rivet the ribs to the main spar.
Chuck came over and I immediately had him working. Here is attaching the rear spar with clecos.
Here he is using the rivet gun for the first time, no practice and I didn't show him anything. I left the room to hold my breath.
The bottom one is the result, I was impressed, he was bang on, quite literally.
And no smiley to boot. Dam Chuck you need to come over more often.
He was a little proud of himself, I think he was flashing back to his Don Johnson wannabe days.
I did some work.
This rib was a little pain.
Here we are with the plum bob making sure there is no twist. We measured about a 1/32" difference from each end which we figured is good enough.
Unlike the empennage I will use a straight edge.
The soldering iron took a while to heat up.
Hey don't forget the doublers. We shut it down here plus I had to meet up with a friend that is in town from Seattle.
