I did some rib deburring last night.
Here you see the rib is bowed, this is from the material stretching from the bending process. It stretches because the break line (bend line) of the flange is on an arc.
I couldn't find a scotch brite wheel for my die grinder or my dremel at Ace or Lowe's. By the way, the kids that work at Lowe's suck, customer service in general these days sucks. Anyway's, I decided to knock down the bulk of the edges with my burr whip.
Fluting tool, this takes out the bow that I mentioned before.
As you can see it is more straight.
A more accurate way to check straightness is to check the holes.
I thought I would see if my laser level would be a quick way to check straightness of the holes.
No, that's just a big hassle.
Oh yeah, looks like almost a wing. I am off to my mother's for turkey this is a great stopping point.
