Another noonish start, this time because I had an interview this morning. I'm going on 4 enjoyable months of unemployment I'm running out of money and need to get my butt back to the miserable world of work. Unfortunately with all the time I've had off I don't have more -8 construction done. I love this new (new to me) primer, however, I think it is more toxic and might consider a better respirator. Mine is a cheapy from Harbor Freight. A guy on the field has a supplied air suit system that I might borrow, I think I would hate suiting up just to spray 3 oz. of prime.

Until now I've been consulting Dan's site for questions. Since his fuselage is different, I had to scourer the internet for another comparable site and found Luis. His site is awesome , I recommend it if you are building a -8, he does great work and he is moving along extremely fast which gets me a little depressed. This view show a perfect example of his site being useful for me, initially I had only drilled one rudder cable hole because the drawing only show the one side and doesn't have a (2x) annotation. Common sense would tell you that the other peddle has one too and thus needs a place to go. What this tells me is that the instructions and drawings are getting more and more vague (the are still extremely great considering) and I need to pay attention to the overall picture. BTW, I've changed my camera setting to 640 x 480, now I bypass the watermark and create thumbnail step, much less work.

This shot didn't come out well, thankfully, it was to show a really bad (deep) countersink, shouldn't be a factor, all it does is hold the nutplate.

I got the nutplates installed on this puppy, now I need to cut the slot.
