Fuel tank trap doors sounds like something to work on. These prevent (slow) the flow of fuel outboard during turns (roll). I was thinking they would be good for inverted flight because of the slight dihedral, but after further review I realize the the doors would be a. on top and probably above the fuel, b. the door would be held open due to gravity, c. there is a hole in the middle of the rib.
I am guessing I cut the piano hinge from this 6' piece. It looks like the ailerons are only about 4 '.
Do yourself a favor and don't try to cut this part with you wire cutter or your shears, you will just damage them, I know from experience.
I couldn't find .020 thick stuff so I used .025, hope that ain 't a problem, I don't see why it would be.
As you can see it got a little crooked but should still function fine, I just don't want it getting hung up and perma-shut.
Wow I did a bunch of riveting too, all cam out good except for a little fubar below.
Isn't really that big, I just hit a little too hard on the last one of the bottom side, you can kind of see how it bends in a little, more character.
I got tired and it is 11pm on a work night, I got a lot more done than I was excepting. I will finish these pups up tomorrow.
